An AI coding agent that bills in naira.
It lives in your terminal, reads and edits the files in your project, and takes money from a wallet you top up by bank transfer. No card. No subscription. No dollar conversion to work out.
₦2,000 free when you set up. ₦5,000 after your first transfer of ₦1,000 or more.
curl -fsSL https://code.wekoya.tech/install | bash
npm i -g wekoya-code
One command, no Node needed. It puts wekoya on your PATH for you.
Needs Node. Close any open Wekoya window first — Windows will not let npm replace a running program.

Every other coding agent was built for somebody else
The tools are good. The way they take money is the problem, and it is a problem nobody building them has to think about.
- A card that keeps getting declined Naira cards fail on foreign subscriptions constantly, and when one does go through you are guessing at the rate you paid.
- A monthly fee whether you code or not $20 a month is a real amount of money to commit before you know whether the thing is any good, and it does not pause when you are busy.
- Bills you cannot check Usage shown in dollars and tokens means doing arithmetic in your head to answer the only question that matters: can I afford to keep going?
Three commands and a bank transfer
No keys to paste, no provider accounts to create, no billing portal.

Install it

The questions people actually ask
macOS says the app can't be opened
Both Mac builds are signed and notarised by Apple, so this should not happen with the current download. It usually means an old copy from before 0.1.25, which was not signed. Delete it, download the app again from the download page, and open the new one.
Do I need a card?
No. You get an account number and transfer to it from your bank app. A card never enters the picture.
What happens when my balance runs out?
Requests stop and you are told why. Nothing auto-charges, nothing goes negative, and you are never billed for a request that failed before producing anything.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes, including inside the VS Code terminal. macOS and Linux too, on both Intel and ARM.
Is my code sent anywhere I would not expect?
Your prompts and the files the agent reads go to the model provider serving your chosen model, the same as any coding agent. The agent runs locally and only reads the project you started it in.
Can I use it on a slow connection?
Yes. The installer resumes rather than restarting if the download drops, and the agent itself sends text, not large payloads.
Found something broken?
It's a beta and we would rather hear it from you than not. No account needed.
Start with ₦2,000. Decide for yourself.
